Sheet: batting cages
Batting cage construction, from 4 stalls to 9, with every trade in the build
Radius-style cages for baseball, softball or both, from $121,000 for 4 stalls to $205,000 for 9. MGC Developers builds them from East Hartford, CT, typically in 4 to 6 weeks.
Chapter 01
Stalls, machines and the radius layout
A batting cage plan begins with the stall count. MGC builds from 4 stalls to 9, and each stall gets a baseball machine, a softball machine, or both, so one cage line can serve both kinds of batter.
The layout is radius style, which gives each stall a 90-degree hitting area. That geometry is what lets stalls sit side by side as one compact cage line, and it is the first thing settled when MGC Developers in East Hartford, CT draws the plan against your site.

Five trades in one build
A batting cage looks like netting, but the build is five trades: Fencing, Electrical Work, Carpentry, Concrete and Excavation. All five come under one turnkey build with MGC, so the cage line arrives as a single finished attraction instead of a list of subcontractors to coordinate.
Two items sit outside the base price: the sump pump pit and the electrical wiring are extra. Raise both at the start, when the budget is built from your site's demographics, so the number you approve is the number you plan around.
Chapter 03
Land, price and schedule
Land is the quiet constraint. A 5-stall cage line takes about 5,400 sqft (.13 acre) and a 9-stall line about 17,230 sqft (.41 acre), so even the largest layout fits on less than half an acre.
Pricing runs from $121,000 for a 4-stall build to $205,000 for 9 stalls, and a typical build takes 4 to 6 weeks. A deposit of 10% of the budgeted project cost schedules the construction date, with weekly draws and final payment upon completion.
MGC has built since 1989 and sends crews anywhere in the continental US. The owner of Holiday Mountain Fun Park in Monticello, NY asked MGC back to build batting cages after the go-kart track was finished. Questions on a cage line go to (860) 749-4434.
“Steve did a great job on our batting cages. He was up to date on the latest standards and batting cage equipment.” Rich M., Owner, Caddy Shack, North Dartmouth, MA
