Sheet: mini golf
Miniature golf courses with rockwork, water and a theme of your own
Custom-designed 18-hole courses built turnkey by MGC Developers, based in East Hartford, CT and building anywhere in the continental US since 1989.
Chapter 01
Pick the theme first and let the layout follow it
A miniature golf course is remembered for its theme long before anyone remembers a hole number. MGC has built courses around pirate ships, jungle scenes, tropical islands, mining towns, South Sea Pacific shores with erupting volcanoes, and nautical harbors. You can leave the theme to us or bring your own, and either way the drawing set starts there: the theme decides where the rock goes, where the water runs and which holes are the ones people photograph.
From our base in East Hartford, CT, we have been drawing these layouts since 1989, and the land question comes early. A typical course sits on a half to three quarters of an acre, and we have fitted one onto as little as a quarter acre. Once the site is chosen, the budget comes from your demographics, then the layout and design, then your sign off.

Multi-level rockwork with a waterfall, blue stream and pond, putting greens and curved walkways on an illustrative miniature golf course
Rock, water and turf, built in the order they have to go in
The course we price as typical is a Custom-Designed 18-Hole Course with Multi-Level Rockwork, waterfalls, colored streams and ponds, walkways, lighting and a Practice Putting Green. The rockwork is where the multiple levels come from, and it carries the waterfalls that feed the colored streams and ponds below it, so the rock and the water are drawn together rather than added to each other.
The putting surface is top-quality putting turf, and the Practice Putting Green gives guests somewhere to warm up before the first hole. Walkways and lighting tie the circuit together so a family can move from hole to hole and the course still reads after dark. MGC runs facilities of its own, so the layout is drawn by people who have operated one.
Chapter 03
What it costs, how long it takes, and how the money moves
A typical course with all of that starts at about $238,700. Theming and rockwork are the biggest budget drivers, so a plainer layout lands lower and a heavy volcano lands higher. A typical build takes 6 to 12 weeks.
A deposit of 10% of the budgeted project cost schedules that date. After that come weekly draws and a final payment on completion. If you want to talk through your land and a budget, call (860) 749-4434 and ask for Steve.
"Steve built us a great miniature golf course, blending it in nicely with our existing dairy bar and country setting. We highly recommend MGC to anyone who wants a top notch facility!" Gretchen B., Owner, Mrs. B's Ice Cream & Putt Putt
